The region is host to five Universities and numerous college facilities providing a high quality of education and training infrastructure.

Further specialised training and support is readily available through a number of organisations.

With three centres of excellence in nearby Peterlee, Gateshead and Newcastle, Contact Centre Professional Ltd are specialists in delivering customer based training and skill development programmes.

North East Contact Centre Academy, a Centre of Vocational Excellence is based just 10 minutes from Spectrum at Doxford Business Park. Part of City of Sunderland College, the Academy provides courses in customer service, management and technical skills.

Grants & Business Support
A number of partners work closely at Spectrum to provide a comprehensive package of business support. Government bodies ranging from ONE NorthEast to County Durham Development Company and East Durham Business Service are available to offer access to business solutions, training and grant assistance.

Spectrum is already home to Business Link North East’s regional headquarters, and has circa 300 staff operating from its base at Spectrum offering practical advice to new and growing businesses.

Occupiers at Spectrum will also benefit from market leading rent free incentives due to its former Enterprise Zone status.
