The new A182 link road provides quick access from the A19 trunk road and Dalton Park shopping centre directly into the heart of Spectrum. The location boasts a large population within the 25 minute journey to work radius, taking in the major centres of Sunderland, Durham, Newcastle and Teesside. In the design of the road infrastructure within the site, a central bus terminus has been provided to take best advantage of the numerous bus routes serving the area.

As part of a major housebuilding initiative, there are over one hundred new build homes directly on the doorstep of Spectrum along with sports facilities and stunning views across the Durham coastline. In total, over one thousand new homes are available within a five minute travelling distance.
